Someone fly-tips in England every 30 seconds, which equates to over 107,000 incidents in a month (England 2007/08)
Do you know the difference between littering and fly-tipping?
The Scottish Flytipping Forum is represented on the NFTPG to ensure that knowledge and experience is shared across Great Britain, and is hosted and chaired by Keep Scotland Beautiful (KSB).
The Scottish Flytipping Forum was established with all of the key Scottish stakeholders who are affected by fly-tipping and the organisations responsible for the investigation and disposal of many flytipping incidents.
The Forum has developed a multi media campaign under the 'Dumb Dumpers' banner to raise awareness of the issue across Scotland. Through the website and a series of events and training courses the Forum supports the enforcement authorities and landowners in addressing flytipping.
KSB is an environmental charity which aims to achieve litter free and sustainable environments. KSB has been operating as an organisation to improve the quality of local environments in Scotland for over 40 years. Formerly known as Keep Scotland Tidy, the group has been at the forefront of anti litter, waste and marine issues to encourage good practice and sustainable development.
